Hoang Thi Thu Huong is an Associate Professor and the Head of the Department of Environmental Science and Technology at the School of Chemistry and Life Sciences, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) . With extensive expertise in environmental engineering, she focuses her research on sustainable waste management, circular economy practices, and environmental impact assessments. Within the 3PUKSEA network, she plays a vital role in evaluating the environmental sustainability of plant protein production, specifically through lifecycle assessment (LCA) studies and the development of eco-innovative extraction methods for rice-based proteins. Her work is instrumental in ensuring that the transition to alternative proteins contributes to climate-smart agriculture and reduced carbon footprints in South-East Asia.

Dr. Huong holds a Doctorate in Environmental Engineering and has dedicated her career to academic excellence and research at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. She has undergone advanced training in environmental management and continues to lead multidisciplinary projects that bridge the gap between industrial chemistry and ecological preservation.
